I spoke to Ken Cobb on sunday and he'll agreed to speak at our November meeting about his photography of the theater and similar events. He was telling me how important it is to not just get two actors standing there, but to actually make the single still shot tell the story.
For December it looks like we are agreed to hold a critique event in combination with the Seeking Focus group and it will be at Photo World.

ReplyDeleteFor the December meeting I think it would be nice to start earlier for mingling, maybe 6:15, 6:30 if that is ok with everyone. I will be in contact with Christy Euclide to finalize everything. I am planning on a show and tell of our prints and theirs, and digital images too if you don't think that will be too much. They are also interested in how we run our competitions/judging as they would like to try that themselves. Maybe if we can knock their socks off we can get a ton of new members for FVCC - sort of swallow them up.
Maybe we should go all out and do it as a holiday party on the side.
